About

The Qazaq National Parks Foundation was established on June 3, 2020 in Almaty.

Vision: ensuring Kazakhstan’s national parks thrive as regional models of biodiversity conservation, cultural heritage preservation, and sustainable development, accessible to all for education and tourism.

Mission: QNPF attracts private support and create strategic partnerships to protect and unlock the potential of Kazakhstan's national parks for current and future generations.

Projects

QNPF initiates and participates in a wide range of projects related to the support of national parks in Kazakhstan.

Habitat Restoration Projects: collaborate with park authorities to restore degraded areas, reforest landscapes, and protect endangered species like the saiga antelope and snow leopard.

Community Programs: develop training programs for local residents to become park rangers, guides, or eco-entrepreneurs, ensuring economic benefits from conservation.

Sustainable Tourism: create low-impact tourism infrastructure, such as trails, visitor centers, and guided tours, to showcase locations: Ayusai, Altyn-Emel, Turgensai and Charyn Canyon.

Educational Outreach: launch campaigns, workshops, and school programs to educate youth and communities about environmental stewardship.

Partnerships: work with government agencies, international NGOs, and local businesses to fund and implement conservation projects.

Research Grants: provide funding for scientists to study biodiversity, climate impacts, and sustainable land use in national parks.

Qazaq National Parks Ltd is a private company for the creation of tourism infrastructure and sustainable development of tourism in national parks in Kazakhstan.

Forestry Department as part of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, the central executive body of the Republic of Kazakhstan, exercising leadership in the areas of formation and implementation of state policy in the field of ecology and natural resources.

State Natural National Parks of Kazakhstan, included Ile-Alatau, Charyn, Altyn-Emel.
